Funding for the Digital District Programme is designed to enable the transformation of the City region as a whole into a centre of excellence as one of the UK’s leading areas for digital technology. Through the expansion of a network of digital hubs and educational outreach this ambitious vision will see the digital economic profile of the region capitalise on this growing market and build on investments already made within the sector locally.

The investment will provide high quality business space within the City Region which will allow emergent companies to consolidate their local presence, raise employment levels and thereafter expand nationally and globally. This coupled with a programme of skills development and training delivered in conjunction with local partners, Forth Valley College and the University of Stirling will provide the platform to establish Stirling & Clackmannanshire as an exemplar in this field.
