Culture, Heritage & Tourism

The shared vision of making the region “a highly desirable place to live, work and visit: an attractive place in which to invest financial, human and social capital” means that Culture, Heritage, and Tourism is an essential component within our City Region Deal.

Stirling and Clackmannanshire are not just at the heart of Scotland geographically – this is the area where Scotland has its cultural and historical roots. It means that today’s visitors are able to discover that the place where the Highlands and the Lowlands meet is where battles were fought and won, and where many of the nation’s most famous historical figures made their mark.

Culture, heritage and tourism are important drivers of economic activity across Stirling and Clackmannanshire, investment across these areas will enhance the visitor experience, and strengthen the appeal of the destination. It will support growth in the visitor economy, encourage confidence in the business community, and create employment opportunities.
